APMOD 2006: Applied Mathematical Programming and Modeling, Madrid, Spain

The 8th in a series of specialized symposia. The conference is focused on theory and applications of operational research in general and mathematical programming in particular. The research and developments discussed will cover solution algorithms and modelling applications. The main solution algorithms are for LP, IP, QP, SP and combinatorial optimisation. The modelling applications are taken from a variety of areas: finance, health, supply chain and utility sector. With the internet now being a key tool for everyone, there are streams devoted to web-based optimisation and modelling. In addition to these strands, contributions on more general topics in operational research are welcome. With the theme of the conference on practical operational research, we have organised a one-day workshop prior to the start of the conference.
